想不到幾十年後會再次看到Cyndi Lauper的名字，不是在雜誌，也跟任何音樂訊息無關，是一間高中招生時，在校友一欄寫着：Cyndi Lauper。我很懷疑，現在讀高中的孩子會知道她是誰嗎，恐怕連他們的父母也不知道Cyndi Lauper是誰。
當年她的形象前衛，穿人所不敢穿；頭髮一半剷青，還留了字，頭髮五顏六色，鬼五馬六，當年真的嚇壞觀眾。報紙和娛樂雜誌也愛拿她的髮型大造文章。
她最討厭人家問她年齡。人家一問，她會不客氣地回敬：「你當我是什麼，汽車？」
她歌唱得很好，音域廣闊，是罕見的唱歌奇才。
我喜歡她的歌和她的歌聲，喜歡她的前衛但不淫蕩。
她形象反叛，完全是令家長和老師頭痛的壞女孩。Cyndi高中未畢業就離開了學校，後來拿了所謂等同高中文憑的證書(這種證書通常是不能在正式學校拿高中文憑的學生拿的)。她以前讀的高中，現在仍在。這學校看來以Cyndi為榮，向新生介紹時，仍不忘提到她是校友。
我當年扮過她上台唱了幾句Girl just wanna have fun，戴著螢光綠假髮，奇裝異服，嚇到台下的老師半死。
李安說：每個人心中都有一座斷背山；其實，每個(正經)女孩心中都有一個Cyndi Lauper。
